COUNTRYSIDE BAKERIES!
JUST two days ago I was riding out in the countryside. I was with my mom. We had to utilize a transportation van for her doctor's appointment in Edinburg. We live in Mission.
Normally, I drive her to her appointments. This go-round I could not because my glasses were broken! Safety first!
Le Fleur Transportation Service provides rides for folks on medicare/medicaide! Excellent service.
Just remember they are not taxis! You must be very patient!
SO: we dropped off a client just before La Homa Road. I cannot remember the name of the road! The country bakery was near Emiliano Zapata school. I can't remember if it was an elementary school.
Google time!
The point is this: we love country bakeries because they retain their down-home nature and heart. It usually shows in their product!
So now that I have my glasses WE will drive out there God-willing sometime soon!

CANADIAN BAKERIES
MYLOS COMISKEY was born in Canada. He worked at a Polish bakery for one Summer. Mylos loved it.
He saved up some money and took a trip with his Uncle Sid to Brownsville, Texas. It was here that he went "missing".

MEXICAN/POLISH BAKERY
LUPE looked at his Mexican/Polish bakery and smiled. It was time for him to take a vacation. Funny how work seemed more a fun thing than actual TOIL.
His dad had been a baker and his father had been one too. It was in his blood. Mexico everywhere from the soft drinks to the calendars that adorned the small bakery. Poland was present too. Lupe's mom was from Poland. Pastries from both nations!
Now he Lupe was entrusting the family bakery to Stan his eldest son. Estanislado.
Would Stan stay in the family business or persue a law degree?
Lupe would wait and find out...there was always Guadalupe, Jr who at age 5 once announced that he would run the bakery once his mom and dad retired!

VILLA'S GOLD COOKIES
TRAVIS TREVINO waltzed into the Mexican panaderia with his new cowboy hat on. He wanted a dozen pieces of pan dulce. He scanned the area. The same tasty treats. Empanadas...molletes. Then he spied gold colored cookies! Wow!
He asked the counter lady about them. She smiled and told him they were called Villa's Gold as in Pancho Villas' gold. Almond gemmed cookies with cinnamon.
Trevino took an extra bag home!
